The Denver Police Department need your assistance. On Wednesday, September 28, 2018, at approximately 8:50 p.m., a physical fight occurred in the 1300 block alley Xenia/Yosemite Streets. One of the suspects shot and killed the victim, Ando “Andrew” Charles Lowate. The suspect and his three companions, two black males and one black female, ran from the scene.

Over the past year, several members of the community have provided valuable tips regarding the involved parties, but at this time insufficient evidence exists to file charges. In order to generate additional information to bring these dangerous suspects to justice, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) has provided up to an additional $10,000 in reward money, bring the total available to as much as $12,000!

DENVER — The man who was killed in a shooting in east Denver last week has been identified.

Andro Charles Lowate, 25, died after the shooting in the 1300 block of North Yosemite Street on Wednesday.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said Lowate was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Autopsy results show Lowate died from a gunshot wound. The manner of death is listed as homicide.

The Denver Police Department said the shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. in an alley near East 13th Avenue and Yosemite Street not too far from the Community College of Aurora.

Police have not released information about a suspect.

The homicide remains under investigation.
