Join us for  our 2025 Shred-a-thons

t’s hard to believe that 2025 marks the 19th year of our Shred-a-thons, a tradition that has not only set a Guinness World Record, but has become a cornerstone event for community safety and engagement in metro Denver. Since launching these events, we’ve now hosted more than 100 Shred-a-thons throughout the metro area, raising over $1 million to help reward tipsters whose information keeps our communities safe.

This year, we’re proud to continue our commitment to a safer, more secure community—one shred at a time—with three Shred-a-thon events:

  • June 28, 2025: Westminster PD (9a-Noon)

  • August 23, 2025: Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office (9a-Noon)

  • September 13, 2025: Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (9a-Noon)

Each event invites you to bring up to three legal-sized paper boxes or kitchen-sized garbage bags of personal documents to be securely shredded. Whether you have outdated tax returns, old bank statements, or sensitive medical records, our partners at Shred-It will ensure your information is thoroughly destroyed—safeguarding you from the risk of identity theft. Our ongoing partnership with our shred partners means you can feel confident your documents are being disposed of in an environmentally responsible way.

The funds raised at every Shred-a-thon directly support the efforts of Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, helping us compensate tipsters, solve crimes, and keep our neighborhoods safer. This event is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with local law enforcement and fellow community members who share a commitment to safety.
