Join the Fun: Help Us Celebrate 18 Years of Shredding Success at Our Shred-a-Thon!

For the past 18 years, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers has organized annual Shred-a-Thons, community events focused on promoting identity theft prevention by safely disposing of confidential documents. This year marks a special milestone as we gear up for our 100th event, and the competition to be the top shredding site is more intense than ever. Whether you're a hosting agency or just looking to support a great cause, here’s how you can help make this year’s Shred-a-Thon a resounding success.

A Friendly Competition

Each year, these three locations vie for the title of top shredding site. The friendly rivalry among these sites has become a cherished tradition, injecting fun and a spirit of competition into our community efforts. This year, as we celebrate our 100th, 101st and 102nd locations, the stakes are higher, with the winning site to be crowned the sought after 100th event and receive a special prize. It’s more than just a competition; it's a community celebration of proactive crime prevention and environmental responsibility.

Arapahoe County has participated since the beginning (17 years!!) raising over $245,000!!! They were last years winner with over 1400 cars and just under $15,000 in donations.

Jefferson County has participated for the last 16 years, raising over $215,000!!!! They have won top site 3 of the last 5 years!

Westminster has participated for for 15 years and have raised just under $215,000, thanks to Mayor McNally’s traffic directing!
